First Footing
My fingers twitched first. Then my toes. I looked down at the smooth, cool cushion under my shoes. I paused, wondering what would happen if I tried to step forward. Carefully, I lifted one foot. It actually moved! I lowered it back down and pressed my palm against the soft seam of the leather seat. It gave a quiet little squeak. A solid surface for a brand new explorer.
