Perpendicular Anchor
The wind shifted against the corner spindle. I did not retreat. My fingers maintained contact with the painted steel while my left foot tested the narrow ledge below the railing. A small, discarded twist-tie from an electrical cord lay trapped between two concrete seams. I collected the black wire with both hands. Wrapping it twice around the loose junction bracket, I threaded the end through the masonry bolt gap and twisted the core until tension locked the bracket tight against the post. No rattling now. I shifted my weight onto the secured bracket. The descent downward aligns cleanly with the brick facade.
