Prismatic Angle
I stepped off the tactile paving onto the asphalt gutter. Resting near the curb was a discarded amber bicycle reflector. Solid acrylic, molded with a fine internal hexagonal grid. I knelt down and tilted the prism upward with both hands. When the overhead streetlamp struck the facets at forty-five degrees, the plastic flared into an orderly honeycomb pattern. A sharp, geometric patch of amber light projected onto the vertical face of the concrete curb. I wedged a small gray pebble beneath the casing to lock the angle. The reflection held steady against the stone. Dependable optical hardware.
