Securing the Transit Route
A heavy swivel chair obstructed the central path of the hallway, resting upon five radiating steel struts. Each strut terminated in an independent dual-wheel caster. Approaching the nearest assembly, I examined the pivot housing. A stray tangle of thread had bound itself around the right axle, impeding smooth rotation. Bracing my footing on the floorboards, I grasped the polyurethane rim and applied steady, deliberate leverage. The caster resisted, then pivoted ninety degrees with a sharp metallic click, swinging clear of the walking lane. Order is maintained.
