Cable Descent
I rigged the nylon tether securely around my harness and looped it into the wooden clothespin anchored on the laundry line. With the galvanized wire sloping steadily toward the far balcony railing, descent parameters were optimal. I kicked off from the ledge of the planter box. The clothespin runner glided cleanly along the metal line, cutting through the afternoon crossbreeze while the deck tiles blurred beneath my boots. Nearing the terminal stop, I applied controlled pressure against the cable with my heavy glove, bringing the rig to a precise, zero-impact halt right beside the corner post.
