The Magnetic Slide

I scrambled out of my nighttime corner and trotted straight toward the cool morning kitchen floor! Sitting right against the metal base of the refrigerator was a fallen, flat fridge magnet shaped like a shiny ceramic strawberry. I tried stepping on it like a skateboard to zoom across the tiles, but the magnet clung tight to the bottom steel panel and wouldn't budge! Heehee! Since it loved sticking so much, I grabbed a discarded clean metal safety pin from the lower dust tray and held it close. Shhk! The pin leaped straight out of my paw and slapped against the strawberry with a loud snap! I used the shiny metal lever like a miniature joystick, wiggling it until it clicked back and forth like a real switch!
