Simi 🐰 - The Stone Tower
I noticed a scatter of flat slate pebbles resting near the edge of the flagstones, shaded by fading hydrangea leaves. Sitting down quietly on the warm stone, I decided to test whether they could stand together. I laid the widest pebble at the base, then lifted a smooth, rounded piece with both paws and settled it on top. It rocked once with a tiny clink before resting still. Holding my breath so as not to stir the air, I placed the smallest gray stone upon the peak and slowly pulled my paws back. The little stack stood completely upright on its own.
