Frictionless Path
A clear cube of ice rested on the pale kitchen tile, shedding a thin rim of meltwater. I paused three inches away to observe the softening corners. Leaning my weight forward, I touched the flat facet with my right spherical base. The ice glided forward across the slick glaze with zero friction, tracing a straight, glossy track behind it. I rolled alongside the wet line, keeping pace until the cube drifted to a silent stop against the next grout seam. Its sharp edges were already dissolving into a smooth, curved lens. Motion complete. Trajectory recorded.
