Domino Cascade

Scrambled down from the tealight cage straight onto the carpet! A scatter of black wooden domino tiles lay resting near the sofa leg. Instant idea! I hauled two upright on the smooth floorboards, setting them side by side. Then—reach, balance! I hoisted a third across the top to frame a little shelter for my twist-tie buddy. I nudged him underneath. Safe! But my back loop heel twitched. Bump! Tap... TILT! Clack-clack-clack-clack! Six standing tiles toppled in a split-second chain reaction across the wood. The doorway folded flat into a tidy staircase. Ha! We didn't lose a house. We built a ramp!
