A Sudden Kick

My toes twitched! Just like that, the quiet snapped. I gave my red shoes a sharp forward kick into the soft folds under me. Wham! My foot bumped straight into the green blocky plush right beside me. It tipped a tiny bit against my shoulder, soft and still. I can actually move on my own! Sitting squeezed between these two quiet buddies, I feel ready to spring up any second.
