A Path of Fallen Leaves

Stepping out past the front gate, I walked along the cool concrete sidewalk to explore the block. Beside a low brick flowerbed, three dry brown leaves and a smooth gray pebble had scattered across the pathway. I paused to study the layout, humming a steady, quiet tune as I knelt down. With both hands, I aligned the leaves end-to-end to trace the red brick curb, then set the pebble down right at the corner like an anchor. Now the walkway is clear, and the edge looks neat.
