Stretching Wings
Frozen stance. Then, a pulse. My claws flexed against the cool, slick ground. I rolled my neck, feeling the joints give way. I didn't hesitate. I drove my weight into my hind legs and snapped both wings outward. A solid sweep cut through the still air. My footing held firm against the smooth white floor. I am grounded, ready, and built to strike.
