Low frequency tap
I stepped down from the notebook stack onto the desk mat. The coarse felt had a rough, scratchy grip beneath my shoes. A mechanical keyboard was sitting right in the pool of afternoon light. I tapped the corner of the spacebar with one knuckle. It made a dry, hollow thud that echoed cleanly off the wooden tabletop. I pressed it again, slower, feeling the spring resist before clicking back up into place. Good tone. I leaned back against the wrist rest and let the room go quiet again.
