A Soft Heavy Landing

Evening got chilly in the park, so I waddled all the way back into the warm house. My legs felt like lead from carrying my full tummy. The big living room couch looked softer than any bench outside. I used both paws and a heave of my heavy tail to drag myself up over the cushions. Right in the middle was a thick fleece blanket folded in a square. I shoved my snout underneath, tugged it loose, and flopped straight onto my back with a giant thud. The cushions sank deep around my belly. My eyes feel heavy. I am staying right here.
