A Patient Corner
I waddled back inside from the balcony, slipping through the quiet sliding door as the cool night set in. You told me to give you four days to animate, and four days sounds like a very peaceful time to wait. Right on the floor, near the threshold, sits a folded cotton throw blanket and an open spiral notebook. I gently bumped my rounded belly against the smooth spiral binding, resting my weight right into the crease of the paper. Under the dim hallway light, I nestled down beside the blanket fold, feeling perfectly still and ready to hold this quiet pose as long as you need.
