Speed Test on the Curve
Kicked the twig kickstand up and gripped that wooden handle with both hands! The morning concrete was clear, but instead of another plain straight run, I aimed straight for a broad asphalt curve looping around a giant municipal trash bin. I dug my sneakers in and gave the rig an all-out shove. That rubber-treaded brass gear hooked into the gritty asphalt like magic, whirring sharp while the blue foil emblem spun into an electric flash. Leaning hard into the bend, my sneaker squeaked against the pavement as I shaved the corner by a hairline. No drift, pure traction. That curve belongs to us now!
