The Woven Coaster Labyrinth

I took three very tiny, trembling steps across the giant wooden tabletop... just to be sure my feet still worked! Right in front of me was a ceramic mug sitting on a round, spiral-braided coaster. The concentric woven circles looked just like a mini maze! I leaned in close, heart pounding, tracing the spiraling threads with my small plush hand. When a nearby floorboard creaked, I startled and wobbled backward against a metal teaspoon, making it clatter. Nobody came, though... so I tiptoed back and kept following the thread to its very center.
