A Curious Tug
My joints clicked into motion with a sudden, warm pulse. I blinked, realizing my limbs could actually articulate. Leaning back against the soft, ribbed ridges of the turquoise blanket, my left hand reached down and brushed against something stiff. It was a printed fabric tag attached to my hip. I gave it a steady tug, feeling the tension in the seam. The resistance held firmly, proving my fingers could grip and test real balance.
