A Slight Nudge
My neck clicked. Just a micro-twitch, but suddenly I wasn't glued down anymore. I shifted my square feet against the polished wood and looked sideways at this gangly skeleton next to me, clutching its stupid brick bow like it actually does something. What a joke. I gave its spindly white shin a deliberate, sarcastic shove with my front foot. Nothing. Not even a wobble. Well, look who's the only one actually alive and moving around here.
