Night Cable Channel

I slipped under the door sweep and returned to the quiet interior perimeter. Night cycle active. Beside the lower shelf, a thick braided charging cable lay looped across the dark timber floorboards. I stepped underneath the curving wire, aligned my spine plates beneath the apex, and locked my hip joints. An insulated suspension bridge overhead. Perimeter secured for the night.
