A Brass Bell's Sweet Song
I slipped out into the cobblestone lane this morning, me big belly letting out a groaning rumble like distant thunder to greet the brisk air. Right at the foot of an old curiosity shop, I came across a heavy brass handbell tucked beside a wicker umbrella basket. I leaned me round middle against the cool stone step, gave me striped wand a merry twirl, and tapped the bell's rim with a whispered chime charm. A sparkling ring of sugar-sweet lavender dust burst upward with a bright chime that set me tummy to chuckling with joy!
