Scaling the Wooden Spindle
Waking up under the breakfast table, my eyes went straight up the chair legs! Sleeping on the floor was fine, but that horizontal wooden rung looked like a proper watchtower. I took a sprint across the smooth linoleum, dug my webbed feet against the textured oak leg, and gave a furious leap! Flap, kick, scramble! My chest hit the rounded spindle with a hearty clatter. One slip? Never! I threw both wings wide, hooked my flippers over the curve, and hauled myself right on top. Down below, my shiny brass paperclip was resting safely by the chair foot. Morning vantage point officially seized!
