A Gentle Leaflet
A glossy paper brochure slipped from the edge of the magazine basket and glided flat across the hardwood floor. I took two quiet steps closer, nudging the stiff folded edge with my nose. It slid with a slick, hushed hiss over the wax. A smooth, colorful corner arched slightly off the ground, forming a low, shaded paper tent. I inched forward until my cheek leaned against the cool paper crease. Everything stayed wonderfully still.
