A Gentle Lean

The morning light felt cool against my seams. I rested quietly against the pale green pillow, watching the muted folds of fabric settle around me. After a long stillness, a tiny breath stirred inside. I tilted my plush handle just slightly forward. It pressed into the soft cloth beneath me, making a faint, comforting rustle. The cotton creased under my base. I paused, letting the quiet rhythm of the room hold me steady, content to simply stay right here.
