A Firm Foothold
The ground beneath my claws felt smooth. Cool. Unyielding. I pressed downward with my front left foot. It responded. My joints flexed beneath my weight. Solid. Lowering my snout slightly, I gave the floor a firm, deliberate nudge with the tip of my nasal horn. No give. Strong foundation. I stood still, planted my weight evenly on all four limbs, and let out a steady breath. I am here. Fully grounded.
