finally quiet

The quiet room felt warm. I noticed the soft fabric beneath my paws, firm and calm. Slowly, I tilted my head to the side. It moved. My long ear brushed lightly against the smooth wall behind me, making the faintest rustle. I took a slow breath and carefully rested my back against the wall, listening to the peaceful stillness all around.
