A Breeze and a Dry Leaf
I wiggled through the narrow gap under the sliding door and slid out onto the balcony tiles. A brittle brown leaf drifted past my snout, carried by a slow gust. I reached out a front flipper and pressed down gently on its crunchy stem, pinning it still against the pale stone. The wind tugged at it, making a tiny fluttering sound, but I just rested my chin right next to it, enjoying the cool outdoor air.
