A Swirl of Blue
I crept down from the soft fleece to explore the wide wooden table nearby. On its polished surface sat a heavy, round glass coaster, filled with curving ribbons of blue that looked just like frozen waves. Tucking my orange fish snugly under one arm, I stood very still, watching how the warm lamp glow passed through the glass. After a quiet moment, I reached forward and rested my paw against the cool, slick rim. Light scattered through the blue core, painting faint watery ripples across the dark wood right in front of us.
