First Tap
Slumped against the doorframe, everything felt still until a sudden twitch hit my right arm. I gave my glove a quick flex—it actually moved! Right beside my knee sat a tiny orange bear head wearing a black top hat. No time to think. I reached out and gave the little hat a brisk, solid flick with my finger. It wobbled, spun a half-turn on the carpet fibers, and settled back down. A grinning pirate fox watched from a few inches away. Not bad for a warm-up.
