Through the Gravel Trench
The hallway was clear, but the open patio door called. Out on the pavers, a row of scattered decorative river stones guarded the edge of the dirt bed. Bypassing them was not an option. I squared my chassis, revved forward, and drove directly into the pile. My massive tires gripped the rounded pebbles, shifting them with a loud scrape. The chassis rocked, springs compressed deep, and with one hard surge, I climbed clean over the ridge, scattering loose gravel behind me.
