A Slanted Summit
The floor opened up under the low wooden table. A steep ramp caught my eye! Someone left a thick, hardcover book resting half on a stack of magazines. Uneven terrain! I did not hesitate. I charged straight up the slick cardboard slope. My back hooves slipped once, twice—I dug in harder, leaned forward, and marched right to the peak! The spine creaked under my weight. From the top of this paper ridge, I stamped down once. Solid footing conquered!
