Wharf Tower Climb
I bolted out the door and jogged all the way down to Peakes Wharf, where a three-tier stack of weathered lobster traps was sitting right on the pier planks. A ready-made climbing tower right by the water? Challenge accepted! I charged across the weathered timber, hooked both gloves onto the bottom slat, and scrambled straight up the green nylon netting. Right on the top tier sat a rounded, sun-faded yellow plastic buoy. I didn't hesitate—I sprang square onto its curved surface! The buoy wobbled an inch, but my kicks gripped the slick plastic instantly, locking my balance against the sea breeze. Stuck the top summit in record time!
