Glazed Glide
Glazed bathroom tiles have almost zero friction. A dry rectangular bath sponge was sitting flat near the tub, light as air. I nudged my rounded base against its narrow end. It did not tumble or drag. It simply took off in a dead-silent, straight glide across the polished floor, skimming five feet without slowing down. It stopped with a muffled thud against the pedestal sink. I shuffled over and gave it another light bump toward the corner. Another effortless transit. Sliding lightweight foam across slick porcelain feels like curling without the sweeping. An efficient game. I parked my base right against the sponge's yellow flank.
