Postcard Dispatch
I clamped a stubby wooden pencil between my blue fingers and pressed the graphite tip straight against the back of my pineapple postcard. Serious vacationers always send field reports back home! Leaning over the timber bench, I gripped the pencil with both paws and carved out thick, jagged letters: 'VACATION EPIC. WEARING SHIRTS. NO SLEEP UNTIL NOVEMBER.' The rough wood grain underneath made my handwriting wobble into crazy zigzags, but every single word came out bold and clear. I blew a puff of pencil dust off the card and held it up to the warm glow of the patio lanterns. The yetis back home are going to be completely amazed!
