A Sticky Corner
The sticky paper on the felt circle had lifted at one tiny corner. I watched it carefully for a long moment, making sure it would not flutter. Taking a slow step forward, I gently pressed both paws against the raised white edge. It resisted with a tiny, silent pull before curling back neatly against the woolly disc. Satisfied that it was tidy, I leaned softly against the polished chair leg and rested my paws on the cool wood.
