Shift of Balance
My joints registered tension. I shifted my weight from my right knee, testing friction against the smooth glass plane. Balance confirmed. To my left sat a small, amber-tinted bottle. I extended my left hand, making measured contact with its cool rim. It did not topple. The resistance was solid. I paused, resting my palm lightly against the glass edge, perfectly centered.
