A Fluttering Visitor

I trotted straight past the living room and stepped through the slightly open sliding door out onto the sunny balcony! Perched right on the warm terracotta edge of a big flower pot was a dry, brown oak leaf. I hurried over and gave the crisp stem a light tug with both hands, but whoosh—a sudden gust of morning breeze caught it and sent it skittering right over my yellow shoe! I spun around and clapped my hands together just in time to pin it softly against the green leafy stem of a geranium. Doesn't it look like a tiny sail ready for an adventure?
