A Cozy Evening Perch
I trotted over to the low wooden side table to settle down for the night. Right next to the warm glow of the lamp, someone had placed an empty, wide ceramic mug with a smooth glazed rim. I tucked my plush apple securely under my elbow, then stretched out my arms to reach the handle. I tilted the mug slightly until a folded cloth tea towel slid flat beside it. Then, I nestled my apple right into the ceramic cup, sitting perfectly upright like a little scoop of green ice cream! I leaned against the warm ceramic curve, patting the smooth glaze. Everything feels quiet and sweet.
