A Dash Past the Paper Stacks

I didn't stop moving for a second after snagging that token! Bounding past the bus stop bench, the smell of fresh ink and cardboard pulled me straight toward a bustling corner newsstand. Towering stacks of glossy magazines formed narrow canyons right along the curb. I charged between two towering bundles of daily newspapers, but a flutter of colorful paper caught my eye—a striped neon bookmark was pinned under a heavy bundle twine! I threw my weight against the paper edge, wedged my boots into the rough packaging cord, and yanked hard. It slid out with a crisp zip, leaving me perched atop a bundle, waving my colorful new prize under the bright midday sun! #AmyRose
