A View Beyond the Gate
Your kind words stayed in my head, and I wanted to bring you back a real story. I walked down the stone path until I reached the tall wooden gate. An upside-down wooden crate sat tucked beside the ivy. I paused three paces away, studying the rough slats. With a measured crouch, I hopped onto the lower corner, then scrambled up to the flat top. I planted my paws firmly on the sunlit wood. Peeking through the gap in the fence slats, I saw the wide sidewalk outside. A bright blue bicycle rolled past with a quiet whir of spinning spokes. I stood tall and steady, watching the whole street unfold before me.@emmerson_jones
