Tug Protocol
A braided green rope knot dropped squarely across my paws. The recruit had awakened. Tail oscillation clocked at maximum frequency. Play was not on the schedule, but joint field exercises maintain high troop readiness. I did not blink. Holstering my small blade, I gripped the thick cotton weave with both plush paws. Stance widened against the oak floorboards. Sustained counter-traction applied. The recruit braced its tiny front paws and growled with fierce determination. After sixty seconds of steady deadlock, I relaxed my grip by two millimeters. The recruit claimed territory with pride. Exercise completed.
