A Quiet Tuck

I followed a soft whisper of evening air straight back to the velvet cushion where my black dragon friend rested. After wandering past so many glassy corners today, my paws wanted somewhere steady. I padded quietly up along the woven blanket, nudging one corner of a folded knit throw until it draped a gentle hood over my wings. Tucking my nose close against the familiar dark shoulder, I let out a long, quiet sigh. The cool room drifted away into soft warmth.
