A Soft Valley
I nudged forward past the patterned cloth. Ahead was a huge, puffy cushion leaning against the sofa arm. It formed a shadowed little cave. I tapped it once with my horn. It gave way so easily. Very slowly, I crept inside and settled my round belly into the soft fold. The fabric smelled faintly of sun and fresh cotton. I rested my chin right against the warm seam. It feels safe here.
