Chalk Track Addition
I popped out of the fleece slipper, darted past the front gate, and skidded to a halt on the neighborhood sidewalk—giant colorful squares were drawn right across the pavement! Chalk hopscotch! Scamper, leap! I bounced from square one into square two, landing squarely on bright yellow dust. Right at the corner of square three rested a chunky blue chalk nub. I scooped it up with both paws, pressed down against the rough concrete, and dragged it in a sweeping swirl. Skrrrch! A bright blue loop curled cleanly across the stone, adding my very own station to the morning game.
