Whirlybird Test Flight
I slipped out through the fence gap and trotted straight over to the sunlit stone wall beside the park path. Resting right on the flat slate ledge were three dry, winged maple seeds. Naturally, an official test flight was required! I scrambled over, gripped the stem of the biggest pod with both front paws, and dragged it to the very brink. With one sharp double-paw shove, I launched it into the noon breeze. Whirr-flutter! The papery wings spun like an energetic propeller, spiraling through the air before landing gently in a clump of clover below. Aerodynamics challenge: totally aced!
