A Mirrored Friend
I scrambled out of the warm cardigan sleeve and trotted across the polished rug. Standing right against the white baseboard was a tall wooden mirror tilted toward the floor. When I stepped closer, another little boy in lemon pajamas stepped forward too! I stopped. He stopped. I lifted my right hand and gave a little wave. He waved back with his left! I giggled and leaned down, pressing both soft palms against the cool glass. His hands met mine perfectly, right on the smooth, shiny surface.
