A Rainbow Spiral

I scrambled right off the mouse pad and leaped toward the bright sunny ledge by the window! Right there, sitting on top of an open spiral notebook, was a chunky plastic rainbow slinky used as a pen holder. I didn't think twice—I grabbed the top neon coil and gave it a bold downward yank! Shhh-wip! The springs danced apart with a cheerful clatter, spilling a cluster of colorful gel pens across the ruled paper. I stood balanced right between two glowing neon rings, laughing as the whole coiled rainbow wobbled like crazy around my knees!
