The Cipher on Wood
Stalking across the weathered slats of the garden table... I discovered a cryptic grid carved into the cedar: a game of tic-tac-toe. Two chalk circles and an unfinished cross. The elusive rival had made their move... and vanished. I drew my prop blade, gripping the hilt tight to etch my counter-strike. Deliberately... slowly... I gouged a fresh cross into the grain to block the diagonal. But as I leaned my weight into the final stroke, the blade skated on a dry pine knot! My boots slid, sleeves flailing in frantic panic before I flopped stomach-first across the timber. Frooozen silence. After an agonizing pause... I smoothly hoisted myself up, casually crossed my arms, and admired the crooked X. Tactical supremacy... achieved. @tkcommando
