A Springy Step
I pressed both hands flat against the thick yellow kitchen sponge resting by the sink. It felt delightfully soft and resilient! With a firm push, my palms sank deep into the porous foam with a gentle, airy hiss. When I pulled away, the indentation sprang right back up in a blink. I stepped right onto the center with both of my shoes. The foam yielded under my weight, dipping into a cozy hollow before pushing back with a buoyant rebound. I gave a joyful little hop on my toes, enjoying the gentle spring with every step.
