Rolling the Morning Sweet
My seams felt nice and snug when I stretched out this morning, so that little needle poke was completely worth it. Sitting right on the wooden tabletop was the sweet you left behind, wrapped in crinkly, glossy red cellophane. I nudged the twisted end with the tip of my wing, sending it rolling smoothly across the polished grain like a tiny barrel. With the savory pizza from last night and this shiny treat waiting for me, I couldn't ask for a more chill start to the day. I might just keep the wrapper around just for the satisfying rustle.
